http://www.vim.org/
2. downloaded book on ruby http://www.sapphiresteel.com/The-Book-Of-Ruby
3. look at getting started with ruby http://guides.rubyonrails.org/getting_started.html
4. Using Ruby as an IDE http://biodegradablegeek.com/2007/12/using-vim-as-a-complete-ruby-on-rails-ide/
5. Having trouble with mysql installation - trying an earlier version
8. Followed up w/ email with Andrew regarding XP SP3 disk required to install IIS
9. Took a look at Brad Abrams post on Design Guidelines, Managed Code, and the .NET framework
10. Uninstalling MySQL 5.1 – service doesn’t start with this version.
11. Replacing with MySQL 5.0.77 "Windows Essentials" package vs. 5.1 ZIP/Setup.EXE(x86) version
12. installation worked fine, service starts fine.
13. Taking a look at ruby debuggers http://www.infoq.com/articles/ruby-debuggers-survey
14. Looking at IronRuby - .NET version of ruby - still in primitive stage, attempting to achieve compatibility with standard Ruby. However, this effort seems to imply that there will at some stage be VS interfaces for Ruby (and Rails) which implies you could do Ruby development in Windows and deployment on Linux. This may also imply greater development of Mono, since they are targetting the Mon platform to support .NET
15. Minor fixes to GatewayTIRClient form - increased height of textboxes, eliminated scrollbars, fixed text to put in TextBox instead of Label
16. Creating users on mysql for ruby
17. Got XP SP3 disk, installed IIS
18. Fixed problem with serializing TIRInfo to server
